About me

Ash Hatchett

Hey! I’m Ash, based in Suffolk, UK. I’ve had a passion for programming since I was young, and this is my first major project! I’ve been hooked on SpaceX since discovering them in 2020, and that’s how SpaceX Stats was born — a place to combine my love of spaceflight and coding. I have plenty of ideas for websites, apps, and games, and I’m excited to keep building new things. My goal is to make it big in the software industry one day, so any support or contributions are hugely appreciated! If you’d like to know more about me, check out my website below — or get in touch if you’d like to see my CV and chat about opportunities. Thanks so much for checking out the site! 🚀

About SpaceX Stats

SpaceX Stats started as an idea I had for a fun project to work on in October 2023. Due to limited time to work on the project due to work and education, the project was put on pause for 18 months. In May 2025, I came back to SpaceX Stats, learned how to actually build a website in 2025 (not raw HTML!), and started typing away. My first finished version took roughly 3 months to complete, and I plan to add new features as and when while I work on other things. I plan to maintain the site constantly keeping launch info as accurate as possible. The site uses my own database backend which I have painstakingly put together. All data for launch information comes from Wikipedia. The project is written in Typescript using the React framework and styling is done using CSS modules because I think Tailwind looks horrific. The database is hosted by Supabase and the project is deployed through Vercel. If you want to look at my code in a professional capacity, get in touch and we can sort something out however please be advised that this is my first of hopefully many projects; the code is functional – not optimised😂. If you have any questions about the site or notice any errors at all no matter how small, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – my DMs are always open, or you can send me an email. I hope you find the site useful and thank you for being here!

Disclaimer

SpaceX Stats is an unofficial fan-run hobby project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) in any way. All images and trademarks remain the property of SpaceX or their respective owners. This site is a hobby project created out of passion for spaceflight, and is not intended to compete with official resources or other independent sites like Next Spaceflight or NSF — in fact, they were a huge inspiration! If you notice any content that you believe shouldn’t be here, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Please do note that as a lot of the data on this site comes from Wikipedia, there may be some discrepencies and inconsitencies especially regarding Starlink payload mass. While I have tried my best to iron out these creases, the exact mass for these missions may not be completely accurate.
