This notice explains what information SpaceX Stats handles when you use the site, why it is handled, who may receive it, and the choices and rights available to you.

1. Who is responsible for your information?
SpaceX Stats is operated by Ash Hatchett under the Interstellar Applications name. Ash Hatchett is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

This notice is intended to provide information required by the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 as amended, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, and, where applicable, the EU GDPR and European ePrivacy laws.
2. Information we handle
When you visit the site
The site and its service providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include your IP address, approximate location derived from it, request date and time, requested page, referring page, browser, device type, operating system, language, and diagnostic or security information.
Website analytics
Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated information such as page or route visited, referrer, country, browser, device type, and operating system. Vercel states that its Web Analytics product does not use third-party cookies, does not associate analytics events with an individual or IP address, and discards its visitor session hash after 24 hours. SpaceX Stats does not send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying details in analytics events.
Advertising and consent information
If Google advertising is available, Google and participating ad technology providers may process consent choices, a consent string, IP address, device and browser information, page URLs, cookie or advertising identifiers, approximate location, ad impressions, and interactions. If you allow personalised advertising, these providers may also use or infer interests and information about visits to this and other websites.
When you contact us
If you email SpaceX Stats, we receive your email address, name if you provide it, the content of your message, and any other information you choose to send. Please do not include sensitive personal data unless it is necessary.
Site preferences
Some pages save a route and scroll-position value in your browser's session storage so that the site can return you to the right place when you navigate back. This value does not identify you and normally expires when the browser session ends.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, SpaceX Stats considers the limited nature of the data, the purpose of the processing, and the effect on visitors. You may object to this processing as described below.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on a device. Similar technologies include local or session storage, pixels, web beacons, and device identifiers. The technologies present on SpaceX Stats fall into the following groups.

How Google advertising works here
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's previous visits to SpaceX Stats or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show personalised ads where you have agreed to that use. If you do not agree, the ad experience may instead be non-personalised, limited, or unavailable, depending on the applicable rules and Google's configuration.
The consent message's “Manage options” screen contains the current list of ad technology providers and the purposes for which each provider requests consent or claims a legitimate interest. SpaceX Stats does not decide which particular ad you see.
Managing cookies and advertising choices
- Once the consent message is live, use it or the privacy and cookie settings control displayed at the bottom of the site to accept, refuse, or change advertising choices.
- Visit Google's Ad Settings to control personalised advertising associated with Google.
- Use your browser settings to delete or block cookies and clear site storage. Blocking some technologies may affect maps, advertising, or site preferences.
Withdrawing consent does not make earlier consent-based processing unlawful. Some strictly necessary processing may continue so the site can operate securely and remember your privacy choice.
5. Who receives information?
Information is disclosed only as needed for the purposes described above:
- Vercel hosts and delivers the website and provides Web Analytics. Vercel may process request, device, network, security, and aggregated usage information.
- Supabase hosts the database used to serve public launch information. Where the browser requests that information directly, Supabase may receive ordinary network and request data.
- Google and participating ad technology providers provide consent management, advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. The current provider list is available through “Manage options” in the consent message.
- Google Maps supplies maps embedded on launch-site pages.
- Professional advisers, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties may receive information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
SpaceX Stats does not directly sell or rent names, email addresses, or contact messages. Advertising providers may use online identifiers for interest-based advertising when permission has been given, as explained in their notices and the consent message.
Provider privacy information
6. International transfers
SpaceX Stats is operated in the United Kingdom. Its providers are international businesses, so information may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate.
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, the relevant provider is expected to use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy regulation or decision, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another safeguard described in its terms and privacy information. You can contact SpaceX Stats for more information about applicable safeguards.
7. How long information is kept
- Contact messages: normally deleted within 12 months after the matter is resolved, unless they are needed longer for an ongoing issue, legal obligation, or legal claim.
- Security and hosting records:kept for the period made available under the hosting service's settings, and longer only where needed to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation.
- Analytics:Vercel discards the visitor session hash after 24 hours. Aggregated statistics are retained in accordance with the site's Vercel plan and settings.
- Consent and advertising information: retained according to the duration shown by the relevant provider in the consent controls or its privacy notice, and as needed to record and demonstrate privacy choices.
- Scroll position: held in session storage and normally removed when your browser session ends.
Information may be deleted or anonymised sooner when it is no longer needed.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- be informed about how your personal data is used;
- ask for a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- ask for deletion or restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive data you supplied in a portable format where the right applies; and
- withdraw consent at any time.
These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. To make a request, email spacexstats@interstellarapplications.com. You will not normally be charged. Reasonable information may be requested to confirm your identity, and requests will be answered within the period required by applicable law.
Please contact SpaceX Stats first if you have a concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or, if you are in the EEA, to your local data protection authority.
9. Other important information
Automated processing and advertising
Advertising providers may use automated systems to select, personalise, limit, and measure ads, including by inferring interests if you consent. SpaceX Stats does not use personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.
Children
SpaceX Stats is a general-audience information site. It does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children or ask visitors for their age. If you believe a child has sent personal data by email, please get in touch so it can be reviewed and, where appropriate, deleted. Advertising may be restricted based on age signals and applicable law.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

The site links to services and websites operated by others. Their privacy practices apply when you follow those links. SpaceX Stats is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated when the site's services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate, and the effective date at the top will be revised.
