Rocket exploded on SLC-40 during a static fire test on 1st September at 13:07. The root cause of the failure was determined to be a complex design flaw with Falcon 9's COPVs. The rocket, satellite, and SLC-40 were destroyed in the explosion. SLC-40 would not see another launch for 15 months
