The flight was suborbital. First suborbital flight of Falcon 9. After Max-Q, Crew Dragon C205 fired its SuperDraco thrusters to "escape" from a simulated launch failure. B1046 activated its Flight Termination System and exploded following the escape as planned. There was no second stage used for this mission; a mass simulator was put in its place
