Dragon: C112 — (Flight 2)
Payloads:
Satellite: Dragon C112.2
Destination: ISS
Customer: NASA
Details:
One of the hydraulic grid fins on B1050 failed during reentry causing the booster to spin out of control. It landed softly at sea a few miles offshore from LZ-1. The booster was recovered by SpaceX but presumably written off as B1050 never flew again. It is unknown whether its components were donated to other boosters. Elon Musk jokingly listed the "gently used" booster for sale on Craigslist for an asking price of $9.9M USD; a buyer was not found. First and only failed RTLS landing so far
