Rocket: Starship V0.9
Launch Site: LP-1, Starbase, Texas
Details:
First flight of Starship Super Heavy. With this flight, Starship becomes the tallest, most powerful rocket to ever launch. Due to design flaws, this launch caused extensive damage to the launch pad requiring major refurbishment before the next launch as well as the addition of a water-cooled flame diverter. At liftoff, three Raptor engines had shut down with at least three more shutting down during flight. The Flight Termination System was activated at ~T+03:00 however the flight continued for approximately one more minute as the detonation charges were not strong enough to destroy the rocket. Only flight of Starship not to use hot-staging
